The last 5 days of life left as a civilian before becoming a NSF for 22 months. What will life be like in BMT? Am I going to get use to it?

I guess it will be a transition phase for most of the males becoming man from the boy before they went through the national service. I see friends that had just have their POP (Passing out Parade) and most of them seems quite enthusiastic. Some of them had new friends and some even went on to OCS (Officer Cadet School).

At least I would have some friends that would be enlisting on the same date and time. Nothing beats a few familiar faces on the first day right? Hopefully we would be in the same bunk as there would be someone to wake me up.

I know what I would miss: Yuanshan, friends, basketball and PS3.

I know we haven't been spending much time lately, but after this FYP period, we would have more time together. We would spend time watching movies, studying for UTs, chilling in libraries, eating good foods or just falling asleep on the long bus trip back home together.

Realized I can't play ball as well as I can in the past. Yesterdays are like memories that can only be appreciate.

One of my teeth has a little bit of sensitive pain. On a happier note, it reminds me of that time when babe and me went to Changi Airport and we ate Pocky. Then the chocolate stained onto one of my teeth and coincidentally, the tooth had that sensitive pain and when babe told me that there's a black black thing at the tooth, we both thought that it was tooth decay. Such moments, last long.

5th June 2009, The Conspiracy

Met up with babe after Microbio workshop trailrun in school.We took a bus to town, Cineleisure as only there got The Conspiracy.

The movie starts at 5 plus and we've got one hour and so we had a small lunch and then went to ToyRUs at Paragon.

She kept knocking, I kept getting knock.

My nostril is not that big is it?

She kept holding the weapons wherever she goes.

After the movie, we went to Hereen to have our dinner at Thai express. I swear the tom yam soup look harmless but it's really choking if you drink too fast. Hahahaha.

There are still a few movies to catch and a lab report to do before holiday ends!

20th April 2009, Monday, Sunny, First day of school.

School was tedious for me today as I was trying hard to contribute but only to find my voices to be overwhelmed by the others.

I enjoyed lunch with dearest as we ate the oily fried guo tiao and bee hoon.

After school was a major relieve from the new time format school had given us that kept the stress constantly coming to us. Had pizzas as dinner and watched I Am Legend with dearest at the library.

As I was typing, in another 37 minutes, it would be dearest's 19 birthday! And not forgetting it's Nicol's birthday as well.

Happy birthday in advance dear! Of course I would call and wish you if you happen to see this before 12am.

Dearest and I met up at around 11 this morning and we made our way to Habourfront so as to take the sky train to Sentosa. When we reached Vivo City, had Chicken Rice as our first meal at Food Republic.

The weather today is really perfect more many activities like going to the Zoo and of course sun tanning. Deep blue sky with little white fluffy clouds.

We tanned, chatted, played and lied for a few hours and left at around 4:30 PM to purchase the underwater world tickets so that we could catch the last show at 5:30 PM at the dolphin lagoon. On the way to the dolphin lagoon...

After the show, we went to underwater world. There are really lots of aquatic lifes exhibited there. Saw this cute little worms...

We walked out of the underwaterworld and just nice the sun is setting, we strolled along the sea and took photos...

We left when there's still abit of sunlight as we are afraid that mosquitoes would attack us again. Washed up and returned to Yishun and had dinner/supper.

Had a great day today and holiday's ending. Hope the next holiday would be as exciting and meaningful as this one.

15th April 2009, Wednesday, Sunny, a trip for a bag.

Planned to get a bag for my new laptop before the school starts, this day was delicated to shopping for a bag and a laptop bag.

Metup with dearest in the afternoon and we took a train to the town. Took a walk at Cineleisure and I already met the bag that I want... It's from Fred Perry and it costs $150 dollar. After some light considerations, I decided to see whether there are other bags that I like and costs lesser.

We had our lunch at Subway at Hereens. As usual it's my favourite Subway Melt and our favourite honey oat bread. We shopped from Hereens to Ngee Ann City and then to Wisma and finally to Pacific Plaza. There are no laptop bags nor is there any bags that I like.

We walked all the way back to Cineleisure for Fred Perry and they were closing soon after we arrived. Purchased the bag and HOME!

Oh, when we were at Wisma, stopped for a snacks at Toastbox. I love banana cakes but too bad I was having block nose and only can taste the sweetness but nothing else. No banana smell at all!

10th April 2009, First trip to Zoo.

It's a Friday and dearest woke me up early in the morning. Prepared and travelled to Choa Chu Kang to meet up with her, Alvis and Pagen. It was around 10 AM at that time and we had our heavy breakfast. Both of us had Big breakfast at Macdonalds.

Waited for bus and when the wait gets long, cameras started clicking.

Mac is in Lot 1, not me.

Finally, we got to our destination. Thanks to dearest's aunt, we got to enter the Zoo as friends of corporate, which means free of charge.

First animals, and I already forget the name...

We were walking towards the elephant show when we pass by this deer. Makes me think of Santa Claus.
We climbed up a little hut and saw these elephant figure!

Getting ready for the elephant's show. There were like 5 shelters and only our shelters the fans were not on.
That's a huge elephant holding a small paint brush and painting a nice picture.
These people could really control the elephants well. There weren't any slight mistakes, at least in the audiences' eyes.

Was on the way to see Baboons and I thought that they are another animals that looks like monkey.
And when I get to see them, I feel like they really behave like humans, except that they can't speak.

We were going to see the aquatic show when we saw two zoo keeper guiding a orang gutan and her child.

I had never seen a penguin before and always thought that its huge.
When the waits get too long...

When we arrived, this bird was sleeping, even though there were like hundreds of people making tons of noise. And it woke up just before the show is starting. I remember seeing it swim under a bridge and ducking by lowering its neck.

Then, we travelled to where the Ah Meng was buried.
And in the fragile forest, we saw this cute little... What is it call again?
A bat-like animal sleeping...

This animal frightened me as it suddenly jump beside me...
Then it started to drizzle and we manage to make it to the Leopard cave before it poured. This black leopard actually got black spots that are quite visible.
And I totally love the skin of this, but I would buy a synthetic one.

Then after the rain stopped, we made our way to the kangaroo lair in hopes to feed the Joeys. However, due to the rain, the feed-the-session was cancelled and dearest was visibly disappointed. It's alright, next holidays! And I read something there, a species of kangaroo can hop up to 13 meters in one hop. Go figure out how far is it.

The white tigers were flooded with people and so we took photos with a fake one.
And I certainly don't want to come face to face with a polar bear.
Nor a Rihnosaurs.
I LOVE GIRAFFES. Their skins and their hight. Please let me feed them the next time around.

Then we saw this baby leopard. It is like circulating round for people to take photos

It's a wonderful first time trip. Too bad it was a public holidays and flooded with people and it rained. Really thank you for bring me there and Alvis and Pagen for joining us.

We headed to The Cathay in hopes to catch a movie, Knowing. Too bad it's sold out and so we had our dinner instead at Aston.

April 1, Wednesday, Cloudy here at Jurong

Happy April fools everyone. This day also mark the first day of summer and it's 20 days till dearest and Nicol's birthday.

Acer's people called me in the morning around 10 AM and I have decided on getting a new laptop with a trade-in plus cash. Dearest gonna help me call them again and see whether there would be any help. She's in her lab and should be doing her experiment right now. (2:43 PM)

My damn laptop had been lying at Acer for almost 3 weeks and the main-boards needed for repair is not even available at the moment. Perhaps my laptop model it's really out of date.

Yesterday, Yuanshan and I caught the movie "Unborn". The movie has parts that are pretty scary and well planned to scare people but it's quite a short movie with average content. She was definitely terrified.

Went ahead from Wai Kiat's recommendation of ASTON for it's valuable meal at Cathay and it's really worth it although the queue can be quite long after 7 during WEEKDAYS. Go give it a try.

Went NTU in the morning to continue with the experiment we are doing. After the FYP, I met up dearest at Yishun and we headed off to the Cathay to watch Paul Blant: Mall Cop.

The movie is very funny. It has a simple storyline that have many things inside; Romance, Villian and Climax etc. However, the length wasn't it's strength. Watch it with student price or during off-peak...

Watched Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li at the Cathay with dearest. We smuggled subway in.The show itself it's kinda confusing as it really confused me. However, the plus point is there is hot girl! After the show, we weren't really hungry as we ate subway during the show and we decided to have Xiao Long Bao as snacks. I wonder where did the name came from...

Met dearest and lovely couple, Avis and Pagen for dinner at The Cathay. We dined at the Japanese Restaurant located at basement which till now I still don't know what's the name of the restaurant.

After dining, it's Ben & Jerry. There was a performance by some acoustic singer which I forgot about the name. Dearest say that his voice is nice and I agreed totally. Was so relunctant to leave until his last song...

18th March 2009, Wednesday, Sunny

March 18 was my 19th birthday. It was just another day for any people except for dearest and I. I bet she had as much fun as I had except that she had got surprises for me throughout the day...

As usual we met at Yishun MRT station but this time was different, I had no idea where we were heading to. I remembered asking her many times when we were on the train whether we had reached our destination already.

At the midst of the journey on the train, she showed me her sun glasses. There are only a few places you go that you will need that right? SENTOSA...

I didn't know that she was actually planning to bring me to the dolphin lagoon until the later part of the day. She kept saying that we were going to miss something... It was actually the last show for the Pink Dolphins 5.30 PM and we actually got to harbourfront only at about the same time.

As both of us were feeling hungry, we decided to have some food first at Vivo City. And yes, at Earl's Swensen.

So this dish we ordered came with the buffet salad and both of us had our own salad...

And I was so busy with the Fish & Chips dipping it in chilli sauce that I forgot that it actually came with Tata Sauce and I didn't use it at all.

This is the next stop, she's purchasing tickets for something that I haven't ride for ages.

I had never been on a cruise nor had I travelled on a plane before...

Dearest, someday soon, let's go on one together.

On the way to purchase underwater world tickets but I feel that it really expensive as we will be missing the dolphin lagoon show. I know she really wanted to bring me to the underwater world which again, I had never been to there but I really feel that it's not worth. Next time!

And so we walked to the Siloso Beach and saw this amazing scenery...

We laid on the beach star-glazing, tried to count and stars but to no avail, chit-chatted and playing cards. It's really a wonderful moment but the mosquito that resides there just wouldn't leave us in peace...

We packed our stuff and ran off. INSECT REPELLENT next time!

We were actually planning to go back to Singapore mainland when we saw this beautiful place which I remembered that Pagen was taking photos of it the other time...

Dearest was beside me, I accidentally blocked the flash so nicely...

We headed back to Yishun and had Mcdonalds.

I was queuing for food when I turned back and saw her behaving suspiciously and when I got back, I saw this CCCC (Chocolate Chips Cup Cake) with a candle. I was really caught off guard and I didn't know what to say. It's really a surprising surprise. Thanks dearest, and the CCCC really taste great.

Overdue Post

March 17

Caught Race to the Witch Mountain on that day and it was the 24th movie that dearest and I had caught together. 24 movies within 5 months and that's a lot actually. Seriously it will take me more time to think what are the 24 movies than thinking about what happened in the movie and on that day.

On that day, she brought along her beloved Nikon S230 and it is a touchscreen camera. It's so nice as compared to my S210! Along was the first time I saw her carrying the LV bag and it really suit her.

After the movie, we wandered to North Point and was actually heading for the Xin Wang Hong Kong cafe, but as we were approaching the cafe, we passed by Bakerzin and decided to have our dinner there.Their value means are priced above average by a little but it's still worth it though. And there free flow bread, just like Delifrance and Cafe Cartel.

The Ham and Cheese Penne is practically inedible for me as I couldn't really stand the creamy taste. And dearest shared half of her Macaroni with me and resulted in hunger later on in the night.

She kept telling me that she needs to get home early and although I felt a bit puzzled but I just assume that she wanted to catch her shows on Channel 5.

I would never had guessed that she was actually preparing a surprise for me with just 2 hours before my birthday.

I got home at around 11.30 PM and there she was messaging with me. And when the clock struck 12, I was celebrating with my family when she called me.

She: "Hello"

I: "Hi"

She: "Can you go down to your mailbox to collect something, I asked my friend to leave something in your mail box."

I: "I doubt I can. Cause parents are back and it's so late already."

She: "Really cannot? Go ask your parents"

I was beginning to think that something is wrong. My dad was back a moment ago and he opened the letterbox. I was like wondering the "friend" must be really nice to hang around the void deck and wait till 12 before dropping the "thing" into my mail box.

I went down still after asking my parents and open the letterbox. I didn't have microscopic eyes though and I assume other than particle like substance, there shouldn't be anything else in the mailbox.

There she was walking towards me from before one hand holding her camera and the other holding the cupcakes (which I love) with candles on it. I was like "Oh my God" when I see her. She came down all the way from Yishun and it's so late already.

No one had ever surprise me like this, spending the first moment of my birthday like this with a surprise.

Gotta wait for her to send me the photos and a video before I will post it.

I guess 19 years old shall be a new chapter of my life and I pretend much feel that changing a new blog will assist me in starting this new chapter.
Had been busy with my final year project recently which is actually at Nanyang Technological University and it is sort of near to my house. We are almost reaching half way done for our experiment.

Holiday's almost over in a month time. Enjoy the last of it!
